Fabulous village pub, where clearly the food has improved as we had a wonderful meal with excellent service. Smashing range of beers and a lovely log fire - I could have stayed all day!!

I often visited this lively yet relaxing pub in the heart of the village and am always impressed by the ales and beers which are kept to a very high standard.
The staff are friendly and usually efficient although sometimes the youngsters need a bit more training.
The meals I have had there were earlier the area that let them down but an better menu and quality of cooking has improved that experience considerably though greater consistency of quality is still required.
The starters and main courses are usually very good and good value but the sweets really let them down. Apart from the cheese board the deserts are expensive and of a poor quality which ruins what could be a very pleasant pub dining experience.
